Welcome to the homepage of JCSA, the oldest language exchange club in Toronto. The club focuses on hosting events in order to provide interested individuals the opportunities to learn Japanese or English from a native speaker of the respective languages. One example is the Language Exchange that is hosted every Saturday at University of Toronto. To learn more about JCSA and the Language Exchange, please read the “About Us” and “Language Exchange” tabs.

JCSA Member Appreciation BBQ!!



Calling all JCSA members for our 3rd annual member appreciation BBQ!!!

Join us for a day out with tons of sun, games, friends, and best of all FREE food and drinks*!!

■When: Sunday August 9th, 2014 @ 12pm – 6pm

■Where: Toronto Island, Hanlan’s Point, Picnic Area #111

■Cost: $7 ferry fee per person for JCSA members and one friend.
$7 ferry fee plus $5 for non-members, or buy a 3 month ($4) JCSA membership**!

■What to bring: Swimwear, sunglasses, sunscreen, tennis rackets, soccer or volleyball, games, and most importantly, YOU!

*Free food will be limited to one serving per person, however everyone is welcome to bring extra food or snacks for themselves or for sharing!

**JCSA memberships will not be available for sale on the day of the BBQ. If you would like to purchase a membership, please do so by Saturday August 1st. Memberships are available for sale during all JCSA Language Exchanges.

Time: May 9th, 12:00pm~



We will provide some seating, drinks, and frisbees, but please BringYourOwnFood, BYOGames, BYOSportsEquipment, etc. Although hanami in Japan is a great place to enjoy sake and beer, please remember it’s against the law in Ontario.
